MacArthur Award-winning poet CD Wright

This Thursday (Feb 9) the School of Arts and Humanities will host MacArthur Award-winning poet CD Wright at 7:30 in the Jonsson Performance hall. Wright will be reading from her latest book, One With Others, a National Book Award finalist that chronicles the 1969 trek of Lance Watson (a.k.a “Sweet Willie Wine”) and other African-American men through Arkansas. Her reading may be of interest to creative writing, literary studies, and historical studies students.

CD Wright will also be available to meet with graduate students at 4 pm on Feb 9 in the Graduate Student Lounge (JO 3.930) for an informal question and answer session. If you would like to attend the Q&A, please RSVP to Prof. Briante at
