Fans of The Phantom Tollbooth, take note!

A Dallas Symphony Family Concert at the Meyerson on Sunday afternoon, March 25 at 2:30 will feature two of Robert Xavier Rodriguez’s works: the world premiere of the new orchestral version of THE DOT AND THE LINE, based on the classic children’s book by Norton Juster, and A COLORFUL SYMPHONY, based on Juster’s THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH. THE DOT AND THE LINE was commissioned jointly by the DSO and Carnegie Hall. Norton Juster will be present, and Jamie Bernstein, daughter of Leonard Bernstein, will narrate. The program will also include the overtures for CANDIDE and WEST SIDE STORY by Bernstein.

There will be low-cost tickets available for UT Dallas students, faculty and guests. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for non-students, and they will be distributed in the lobby of the Meyerson at 2:00 on the day of the concert.
